Since the entry into force of EU Regulation 2019/1020 and the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), it has become mandatory for companies outside the EU that import or distribute products within the EU to appoint an "EU Responsible Person." This role is fulfilled by an EU Authorized Representative, who ensures product conformity and acts as the liaison between the company and EU authorities. The GPSR specifically mandates this requirement to guarantee that all consumer products meet EU safety standards, which is essential for legal market access.
An EU Authorized Representative (EU-AR) is a representative based in the European Union who is appointed by a company outside the EU to fulfil legal obligations under EU regulations. The EU-AR acts as a point of contact for EU Member State authorities and assists in meeting the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and other relevant regulations such as 2019 10/20.
We provide our service for all consumer products. If you require assistance for other product categories, feel free to contact us, and we’ll work to find a solution for you.
We do not offer our service for medical products, machines, car parts or food items. However, if you have other needs, feel free to contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist you.
We will provide an official address within the EU to be displayed on your product labels, ensuring compliance with European product safety regulations.
We will collect and store your products documentation including important documents such as test reports and the EU Declaration of Conformity. We ensure these documents are securely stored and readily available to meet any regulatory requirements.
Cert-Rep by TerrainQ Solutions will act as your authorized representative, serving as the point of contact for any inquiries from European authorities.
We will oversee the management of communication and ensure timely reporting of any product-related incidents to the responsible authorities.
